Due to a coffee shortage during the Civil War, New Orleanians began extending their coffee supply by adding chicory, the root of the endive plant, roasted and ground. The result was a bittersweet, heavy-bodied brew. Coffee and chicory remains a New Orleans favorite today.

This is without question my favorite coffee in the world. I am an entertainer and drink java from all over, but I can't wait to have coffee at home! It has me completely spoiled. I even have to ration it out to my spoiled friends who visit to keep enough for myself!
I grew up in N.O., but wasn't a big coffee drinker. After moving to California and acquiring a taste for coffee, I tried Community on a visit back home. My goodness! I had never tasted a richer, more delicious coffee in my life. I now only drink New Orleans Blend... having it delivered to our home in San Diego.
Absolutely wonderful!!! Best coffee in the world, usually indulge on weekends only, New Orleans Blend, french coffee press and the sunday paper!
This is the best coffee ever brewed. I absolutely love it and I don't get all jittery if I indulge in an entire pot of coffee! My son in MO and son-in-law in TN both love it as well and sometimes I share. I am currently out and suffering withdrawal pangs (so I'm online ordering now) Please don't ever sell out or quit any of these original products. Thank you so much!
This is the BEST coffee ever. I grew up in New Orleans and no longer live in the city but I cannot go a day without my community coffee and chicory. When we first married my husband from Wisconsin could not understand why I had to have 10 bags in the pantry at all times but now he is hooked too. It is the best part of my morning. The smoothest, best tasting coffee in the world.
