Coffee and Chicory
Due to a coffee shortage during the Civil War, New Orleanians began extending their coffee supply by adding chicory, the root of the endive plant, roasted and ground. The result was a bittersweet, heavy-bodied brew. Coffee and chicory remains a New Orleans favorite today.

I first had Crescent City Blend back in 2000 on my first visit to New Orleans. It's been my coffee of choice ever since. The absolute best.

This is the absolute best cup of coffee I've ever had..we grind it fresh each morning, and have been hunting it desperately in grocery stores here in north louisiana..happy to find it again..beats starbucks hands down!From a Louisiana girl that knows her coffee...

I have my whole family addicted to this coffee! I often mail it to friends/family or include it in a gift basket. We never drink anything else at home. But now we can't find it in any store in town (and I've looked!). Please bring it back! It's wonderful!
